As a member of the American Camellia Society, we are a non- profit group of gardeners who promote interest in the cultivation of camellias in the Wilmington area. The club was founded in the 1950's through the efforts of the late Henry Rehder, Sr. and has produced three national presidents of the American Camellia Society. We have conducted 60 camellia shows drawing participants from all over the Southeastern U.S.
The club holds meeting the third Tuesday from September to June at the New Hanover County Arboretum meeting center.
Membership of the club is open to any person any time of the year.
Membership is $12.00 annually for individuals and $18.00 annually for families.
